They definitely deserve more minutes. When the Czech attackers in the service of Leverkusen get to the square, it is worth it. Schick and Hložek signed a contract at the weekend the triumph of the Bundesliga leader in Freiburg.

Hložek appeared in the starting lineup for only the third time this season and he repaid the trust with a goal. He earned admiration for his performance. “His nomination to the starting eleven was a surprise, but he fully justified it with his performance,” he writes in Germany.

Hložek was first at the beginning of the action leading to Bayer’s first goal and then he himself made it 2:1. “Overall, a very successful performance,” the media praised the Czech shooter.

Coach Xabi Alonso’s surprise move with Hložek worked, as did Schick’s deployment at point guard. The best gunner of the last Euro has been in incredible form in recent days. He has the same number of goals in four games.

Goal? And a little luck

In the double leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League with Karabakh scored three goals as a substitute joker, and arranged the procedure himself. And he scored Leverkusen’s win against Freiburg at the league weekend. “Schick did a great job,” sighed Vincenzo Grifo of the losing team.

“Honestly, there was a bit of luck involved. The ball bounced a little, I just wanted to hit it and I couldn’t have done it better,” Schick commented on the hit.

Leverkusen set a new club record with their 22nd win in the league season, and also improved the maximum with their 38th competitive game without a loss. With eight rounds to go, Bayern Munich have a ten-point lead over the defending champions. They have 70 points on their account, which is only one point less than last year’s victory for the Bavarian club.

The shooting appetite of the Czech attackers is also a good sign for national team coach Ivan Hašek towards the European Championship.
