Magdeburg – Serious riots before the start of the explosive second division game! In Magdeburg on Saturday, around 100 masked hooligans from Schalke 04 and 1. FC Magdeburg attacked each other (kick-off: 8:30 p.m.).
Videos of the escalation of violence are circulating online. You can see a fight between two groups. One half is dressed in black – according to scene portals, they are said to be Schalke hooligans. The other part is wearing white tops; they are supposed to be the violence fans from Magdeburg.
It looks like an arranged hooligan brawl! There is a large taxi in the middle of the action. As the riot begins, the driver puts the vehicle in reverse and brings his vehicle to safety. Fists are flying, people are kicking!
After just under a minute and a half, Schalke routed the other group. Occasionally they also kick people on the ground – apparently even in the head!

When asked by BILD, a police spokeswoman confirmed the authenticity of the recordings: “We know the videos. “A physical altercation took place in front of Neustädter Bahnhof,” said the spokeswoman.

By the time the police arrived, most of the violent perpetrators had already fled. Several people were then found at the station forecourt and checked, the spokeswoman said. She could not yet confirm whether there were criminal charges. It was initially unclear whether the people had any connection to the fight.
The police are on duty with a large contingent because of the second division game. A helicopter also hovers over the city. There were no other riots in the run-up to the game, the spokeswoman told BILD. Pyrotechnics were then ignited in the stadium, causing the pitch to be enveloped in thick fog shortly after kick-off.
