During this weekend several players from the Soria-CS24 Badminton Club and from the AD89 of El Burgo de Osma will compete in national masters for the U13 and U17 categories in Alfajarín and for the seniors in the Madrid town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
The sub17 players, Isabel Corchón, Carmen Gómez and María Gonzalez will be in the game in the Alfajarín Master. Specifically, María will do so in group D, facing players from Madrid and Murcia to gain access to the main draw. Meanwhile, the couple formed by Isabel Corchón and Carmen Gómez will compete in the group stage against Galician and Valencian couples.
On the other hand, in San Lorenzo de El Escorial the second senior master of the season will take place and the one with the most points for qualification for the European championship. This fact has led to massive participation with a number of 222 players.
The participation from Soriano will be made up of the people from Soriano: Manuel Acero, David Hernansanz, Santiago Martínez, José Carlos Pérez and Víctor Ortega and the Burgenses Sergio Latorre and Cristina Puebla.
They start as head of series, Santiago Martínez in singles, doubles with Manuel Acero and mixed doubles with Beatriz Martín, thanks to his privileged position as number one in the national ranking of the three modalities, José Carlos Pérez both in singles and doubles in his category and David Hernansanz within the individual box.
The goal of the Sorians is to return with medals and get the maximum number of points possible to maintain their good positions in the national ranking and get closer to the goal of being selected for the European Championship next summer in Belgium.
