Flock/Maier in eighth place in the Mixed World Championship competition

Janine Flock and Samuel Maier didn’t get past eighth place in the mixed doubles at the Skeleton World Championships in Winterberg on Saturday. The duo was 1.29 seconds behind the German world champions Hannah Neise/Christopher Grotheer. The British Tabitha Stoecker/Matt Weston secured silver and the Germans Jacqueline Pfeifer/Axel Jungk took bronze. For Grotheer it was the third mixed gold and for Neise the first of her career.

Julia Erlacher and Alexander Schlintner, who also competed for Austria, finished in 14th place (+2.52 seconds).
