In the second quarter the debacle occurred. The people from Ourense spent almost five minutes without seeing the rim, until Jawara nailed a basket. By then they had already conceded 16 consecutive points in a recital of open triples and marking with the eyes of the outsiders. No solutions came from the bench and heavyweights like Turnes, Kacinas and Radic combined for only four points before the break. The punishment was a broken game at halftime at 44-18, inappropriate numbers for a professional team that has already had quite a few really unfortunate exits. Polanco and Kuksiks alone scored more points than the entire COB, which did not even suggest a reaction after passing through the locker room.
The start in the third delivery was four local points to reach an embarrassing 48-18 in a minute and a half. Jawara hit a triple and opened a phase in which the visitors managed to at least tighten a little more in defense and prevent the result from being scandalous. Three-pointers were still not a solution, nor was any attempt on offense.
More of the same in a last quarter that barely showed any signs of a quintet from Ourense that managed to reduce the twenty-point deficit, but was not even able to complete that poor objective.
With the defeat against Betis, the Andalusians reduce the private income of the people of Ourense to a single victory, who also lose the private difference. The worst thing was the feeling of a team that was once again very soft when it left the Pazo.
