Hayböck with maximum distance in qualification in Lake Placid

Michael Hayböck achieved the maximum distance in the qualification for jumping on Saturday (3:15 p.m. live on ORF1) in Lake Placid. The Upper Austrian landed at 128.0 m in the 1980 Olympic venue. In the qualification rankings, Hayböck took second place behind the Slovenian Lovro Kos, who landed at a distance of 126.0 m, and ahead of his teammate Daniel Huber (127.0 m).

Stefan Kraft also made it into the top ten in seventh place, Manuel Fettner in 21st place, Clemens Aigner in 24th place and Damniel Tschofenig in 29th place also survived the qualification for the first of two individual competitions.
