The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguez, is a man who rubs shoulders with the most powerful on the football planet. Almost like another real estate salesman, Domínguez used his X account to promote three houses in San Bernardino, Sunset Hills, a luxurious neighborhood close to Lake Ypacaraí, just 40 kilometers from the Paraguayan capital.

He appraised it at US$455,000.

He did the same with two other houses in US$ 435.000 y US$ 415.000, respectively. Each post was accompanied with the best photos of each of the mansions put up for sale and at the end of the thread that made him a real estate agent he uploaded videos of all of them to demonstrate that they were not renders but rather finished works.

The messages disconcerted Domínguez’s followers, since the leader never posts anything on his networks that is not linked to football. What’s more, his previous posts were dedicated to the Argentine fan of Colón de Santa Fe, Daniel Iñiguez, awarded fan of the year at The Best awards that once again crowned Messi as the best in the world and a birthday greeting to Enzo Fernández , another world champion.
Many assumed it was hacking. However, as he found out Clarionit was not a computer attack, nor a post fakebut something much simpler: Domínguez’s family has businesses in the real estate sector and the leader ended up promoting them on his networks.
What is not clear is whether he did it of his own free will or it was an error by the person in charge of managing Domínguez’s social networks who confused the account of the head of Conmebol with another intended for his family’s real estate operations. Once the matter went viral, what is speculated is that they analyzed that deleting the ads for the sale of the houses was worse than keeping them and that’s where they stayed.
As they say in the marketing industry: There is no bad publicity, there is only publicity. And Domínguez’s message aroused countless reactions on networks, including that of José Luis Félix Chilavertone of Paraguayan’s declared enemies.
“How much does the House of South American football cost, that is, Corrupbol? If they could, they would sell it”the former Vélez goalkeeper crossed him with a chicane, who later used his networks to attack Domínguez by reposting complaints about the real estate venture.
