The Asal (Artistic and Leisure Sports Association) archery section organized its major annual competition on Saturday and Sunday January 6 and 7, 2024, in the Zvob hall in Lorient. Twenty-six volunteers from the club came together to welcome the 186 participants (from 9 to 75 years old) during this pre-selective event for the French championship. The Lorient club was very well represented since 35 archers – or 50% of the workforce – participated in the event. In a musical atmosphere (a first for Asal), the Lorientans Tom Huberlant (22 years old) and Alicia Le Gal (23 years old) won in senior, respectively in recurve and compound bow. Next big competition for Asal: June 30, in Kerbernès.
