Jakub Vrána may soon change his place of work in the NHL. St. According to information from overseas journalists, Louis will place the 27-year-old winger on the so-called waiver list.
Any team in the league can now reach out for Vrán and get him from the Blues without any consideration. If this does not happen and no one makes a reservation for Vrána within 24 hours, several options are offered.
First, he will continue to remain in the main team of St. Louis.
Second, he heads to his farm in the AHL.
Thirdly, there may be early termination or redemption of the contract.
Crow this year in St. Louis lacks confidence, has been a healthy substitute a few times, and when he does play, it’s only a few minutes per game. The coaches do not hide their dissatisfaction with his defensive approach: after all, in the last four starts, Vrána recorded a threatening -8 balance in the +/- statistics.
So far, he has not been able to overcome the shortcomings in defending even with his offensive skills: in nineteen matches he managed only two goals.
What’s next for him? Given the inglorious end in Detroit and this year’s misery in St. Louis may be the Crow’s end in the NHL.
