Fear in the United States: there is a manhunt for the serial killer who killed three homeless people in a week.
One has been started manhunt in the United States, following mysterious murders against some homeless people. The victims were all from Los Angeles: Mark Diggs, Jose Bolanos they are two of the three now known names of the victims.
Il mode of operation of the unknown killer has made the competent authorities reflect on the possibility that it is a serial killer, i.e. a murderer who follows a precise pattern to carry out his murders. The murders confirmed so far have been placed in time within the period of this last week. The current suspect may be a white Caucasian man, driving a black sedan. No further details are yet known, but forensics and the authorities are working to bring the person responsible to justice.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, issued a statement to express his closeness to all those who find themselves living on the streets. In fact, he asked everyone to pay maximum attention and advised them to Don’t sleep alone. However, it does not appear that more substantial practical measures have been taken, such as the opening of one structure that can accommodate homeless people.
The investigations and the US precedent
As has been underlined by some informants, the current killer, whose identity has not yet been known, would have had a previous in the history of American crimes. Another homeless killer was active in California in 2018: Ramon Escobar. However, he had another modus operandi: he caused death following violent attacks with a baseball bat. His victims were 7 in two weeks.
Currently, the task force, led by police chief Michael Moore, is handling the investigation, underlining that their commitment is all-encompassing. It is, therefore, a real manhunt, which feeds on a 24 hour commitment.
