Dynamo Player Janáček Praises Temporary Coaching Pair and Looks to the Future with Optimism

To which, according to him, the change on the bench also contributed. After the resignation of Tomáš Zápotočný, Jiří Lerch and Jiří Kladrubský took control of the team and prepared the fumbling team very decently for the opponent. “It was of course an impulse for us, even though we didn’t have time to train much. I’m happy for how they prepared us. The organization of the game was great, everyone pushed back,” Janáček praised the contribution of the probably temporary pair of coaches.

In addition to Zápotočný, sports director Jan Podroužek also left the team during the week, and there is a lot of speculation about an early buyout of the club by a foreign investor. But the Dynamo players tried to more or less ignore the turbulent times. “When your head coach leaves one day and the sports director leaves the next, it is resolved in some way,” admitted Janáček. “But we put it behind us in the cabin. We focused on the match so that we could have at least a little bit of a quiet Christmas.”

This was achieved to some extent thanks to the one-point gain. Janáček also contributed to the draw score with several fantastic saves. In the first half, he caught Erik Prekop twice, and in the second half, he destroyed a great chance by Adam Kadlec. The two-and-a-half-month long lack of matches, during which he appeared between the posts only in the cup match with Jablonec (1:2), did not show itself. “I felt good. I honestly expected it to be a little worse,” reflected the Dynamo goalkeeper.

Which proved that Bohemians are his favorite opponent. “I caught my second career league game here. We won 2-1 and I got the man of the match award. In total, I played against Bohemka four times, we won three times and I scored only one goal. He’s probably my fateful rival,” he smirked.

Even the uncertain future of the club does not add to the wrinkles on Janáček’s forehead. The football players of South Bohemia still have no idea who (if anyone) will be the new owner or which coach will lead them in the spring. “I don’t pay much attention to it. We won’t affect it, so it’s pointless. We have to focus on ourselves. Whoever it is, we have one job to do 120 percent. It’s complicated, we’re the last ones. But I believe that no matter what happens in the spring, we will rise,” concluded Janáček optimistically.
