The tradition of the Charros de Jalisco returns to the Mexican Baseball League (LMB). Almost three decades had to pass for his legacy to touch the circuit that once saw him consolidate, after acquiring the Plaza de los Mariachis.

Although the franchise sold its quota in 1995, its roots remained in the memory of the people of Jalisco. Yesterday they confirmed their return to the LMB and their past was immediately rekindled.

Those two championships in the 60s and 70s reactivated conversations about a team that was lost for 19 years and that reappeared in 2014 in the Mexican Pacific League (LMP).

The ninth entered the local championship for the first time in 1949. Since their debut in the league, they went through four different eras (1949-1952, 1964-1975, 1988 and 1991-1995). The second was his best stage. Their only two crowns came in this one: against the Broncos of Reynosa in 1967 and against the Saraperos of Saltillo in 1971.

Fernando Valenzuela, the great Mexican legend, wore the colors of the institution. Even the Visit, In 1992 and 1994, he used his time with the Charros to return to the Major Leagues twice.

Charros will be active practically all year round, becoming – along with Sultanes de Monterrey – the only organizations that will compete in the two most important professional tournaments in the country (LMB and LMP).
