A special day to remember the birthday of Anna Maria, mother of Irene and Nicholas Mungai: on Sunday 26 November at the Alifaris Esterasi municipal gym in Monsummano Terme, the fifth edition of “Fight the cancer – happy birthday green eyes” will be held, a day dedicated to sport that the two athletes from Pistoia personally organize every year in memory of his mother, a black belt in judo who passed away at the age of 47 due to an incurable disease. For the Olympic judoka from Pistoia and his sister Irene, Grappling athlete and technician of the Fight Gym in Pieve a Nievole, it is now a fixed appointment. To keep the memory of Anna Maria alive in the name of sport and at the same time offer a contribution in the fight against cancer.
«Anna was a black belt in judo – write the two athletes in the invitation – coach and great supporter of sport and dreams in general. In this way we carry on her fight, but in our own way.”
The day includes seminars on four different disciplines: Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA e Grappling. Entry will be free and all proceeds will be donated to LILT, the Italian League against cancer.
