Brunson scores 44, the Knicks beat the Pacers: 3-2

Jalen Brunson scores 44 points, reaching 40 for the fifth time this postseason, and the Knicks beat the Indiana Pacers 121-91: the series is now at 3-2.

Josh Hart had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Deuce McBride produced 17 points after being inserted into the starting lineup.

Brunson shot 18 of 35 from the field and scored 28 points in the first half, a Knicks playoff record, and then closed the game in the fourth quarter with seven straight points.

Alec Burks, who had been left out of rotations entirely until he reemerged from a series of injuries, added 18 points off the bench and Isaiah Hartenstein had seven points and 17 rebounds.

Pascal Siakam scored 22 points for the sixth-ranked Pacers, who will try to remain undefeated at home in the postseason to force the decider. Myles Turner added 16, while All-Star Tyrese Haliburton scored just 13 after averaging 29.7 over his last three games.
