Enjoying Stamford Bridge. After a balanced opening phase, Doku and co took the lead. Haaland was pushed to the ground by Cucurella, the Norwegian converted the penalty flawlessly. 0-1 for City. Chelsea continued to play excellent football and quickly came alongside. Ederson saved a free kick from James, but had no chance against Silva’s header.

Ten minutes later, Sterling gave the ‘Blues’ the lead against his ex-club. In between, Foden had shot wide on the other side. No team actually deserved to rest with a deficit. After the break the spectacle continued as usual. After a lightning-fast sprint, Alvarez brought the ball across goal and Haaland scored his second goal of the evening.
