Bayern women concede late equalizer against Roma

Bayern Munich’s women’s team lost a 2-0 lead against AS Roma in the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the start of the group phase on Wednesday and had to settle for a draw in the end.

The team with the two ÖFB legionnaires Sarah Zadrazil and Katharina Naschenweng was already clearly ahead after goals from Jovana Damnjanovic (20th) and Elena Linari (own goal/45th + 4). After the break, Evelyne Viens (58th) and Manuela Giugliano (91st) scored for the guests and saved Roma, where Laura Feiersinger played until the 71st minute, a late draw.
