Bayern lose in Brauschweig – Sport

Three days after their 68:74 defeat in the Euroleague at Red Star Belgrade, the FC Bayern Munich basketball players did not show the expected reaction in the Bundesliga: They narrowly lost there too on Sunday evening, with the 81:83 at the Löwen Braunschweig, until then 13th in the table, came as quite a surprise. In the 14th BBL home game against Munich it was the first win for the Braunschweig team, who had a double-digit lead for the first time after 16 minutes. At halftime, Munich reduced the lead to 40:44, and three minutes before the end Andreas Obst gave them the lead again for the first time since the first attack, but Braunschweig’s TJ Crockett (20 points) hit a decisive three-pointer in the final minute. Bayern are now only in the chasing pack behind their Euroleague competitor Alba Berlin.

The Bamberg Baskets defeated the MLP Academics Heidelberg away from home with 109:90 (52:42) and achieved their second win of the season. The guests were in the lead from the first minute of the game and pulled away in the third quarter, mainly thanks to Zach Copeland: The Bamberg winger scored 16 of his 23 points in this quarter and crowned his strong performance with a successful throw from the halfway line.
