Katherine Díaz took bronze in BMX

Katherine Díaz won the bronze medal in the women’s BMX freestyle modality at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

Díaz took third place after achieving a score of 69.00 in his second run, surpassing the 65.67 he reached in the first lap.

With this score she surpassed Argentina’s Analia Zacarias, who registered 62.00 and placed fourth.

The gold medal went to the representative of the United States Hannah Roberts (81.67), while the Chilean Macarena Pérez (72.33) took the silver.

The woman from Caracas had qualified for the final of the event after finishing with 59.00 points in the eliminatory phase, placing herself in second place in her group behind who would ultimately win the gold, Hannah Roberts. Daniel Dhers finished seventh

Olympic medalist Daniel Dhers was left off the Pan American podium by finishing in seventh place in the men’s BMX Freestyle final.

Dhers recorded 37.33 points on his first attempt, while a fall on the second attempt left him out of medal options as he recorded 49.33 points.

The gold medal went to the Argentine José Torres, the silver was won by the Chilean José Cedano and the bronze went to the representative of Brazil Gustavo Batista.

Daniel qualified for the final after registering 73.50 points in the qualifying phase.
