49ers Crush Jaguars to End Three-Game Losing Streak

Brock Purdy threw three touchdown passes, including a 66-yarder to George Kittle, and the 49ers beat Jacksonville 34-3 to end their three-game losing streak.

Deebo Samuel returned from a three-game absence and contributed a 23-yard touchdown run, points that went up on the board to end the Jaguars’ five-game winning streak.

San Francisco dominated the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense and controlled the game from the first series. The Niners rushed for 147 yards against a top run defense and sacked Trevor Lawrence behind the line five times. Nick Bosa was a threat all game and recently acquired Chase Young got one of the sacks.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars moved away from that version that placed them as serious playoff contenders. There was even a period of the game in which their offensive series ended with a fumble, they kicked a field goal, threw an interception, fumbled the ball again and had another pass intercepted. Lawrence was responsible for three of the four turnovers.

It was Jacksonville’s worst home loss since losing 45-10 to the Chargers in 2019.
