46th Wolfgang Welz Judo Tournament Goes International after Corona Break

Mannheim. The 46th Wolfgang Welz tournament is international again. After the Corona break and the limited registration numbers last year, the best German judoka from the U20 will meet competition from Ukraine, Greece and the Netherlands this Saturday in the Lilli-Gräber-Halle in Friedrichsfeld.

For the German fighters in seven weight classes and for the young men in eight weight classes, the traditional tournament is also a viewing under the eyes of national trainers Andreas Tölzer (M) and Lorenz Trautmann (F). “Both of them attached great importance to the fact that foreign countries were involved again,” says Marco Welz, the son of the namesake and the sporting director of the organizer 1.
