Rodrigo de Paul arrived in Argentina with the aim of joining the Albiceleste squad and integrating the training that took place on Monday afternoon, under the orders of Lionel Scaloni, preparing a new stage of the Qualifiers.
The central midfielder of Atlético Madrid of Spain caused a stir once he arrived at Ezeiza Airport, as Scaloneta fans approached him to ask for photos, autographs and greetings.
De Paul, 29, also made a post through his Instagram account, in which he shared a photo and wrote: “Home again.” After the publication, several fans joked about the footballer’s clothing: “My friend who started the gym yesterday.”
For his part, Lionel Messi landed around 7:30 in the morning on a private flight, along with Facundo Farías and Thiago Almada, who were also called up and play in Major League Soccer, like the captain.
The Argentina team will host Paraguay this Thursday starting at 8:00 p.m. for the third date of the Qualifiers towards the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
