NFL: this Commanders player is in trouble

Washington Commanders defensive lineman Jonathan Allen did not hide his anger after his team’s defeat on Sunday against the New York Giants.

“They kicked our asses. It’s simple like that. We have to be better,” the 28-year-old said in press conferences following the 14-7 loss.

Allen also blurted out the “F” word a few times, which were removed from the following quote: “I’m sick of this shit. It’s been the same shit for years.”

Selected by the Washington club in the first round (17th overall) of the 2017 draft, the product of the Alabama Crimson Tide is currently playing his seventh season in the NFL. He participated in the playoffs only once, for one game in 2020. This year, the Commanders maintained a 3-4 record and occupy third place in the Eastern section of the National.

Allen has a four-year contract that allows him to earn approximately $18 million annually until the end of the 2025 season. If the situation does not improve in Washington, the athlete could request a transaction. The deadline for making NFL trades in 2023 is October 31.
