German Judoka Win Six Medals at European Cup

Three gold, two silver and one bronze – that’s the achievement of the German judoka. This puts the team in second place in the nations ranking behind Italy, followed by Serbia.

In the men’s category, David Kuper (-55 kg) and Rufus Barske (-66 kg) beat the entire competition and won their first gold medals at a European Cup. For David Kupper it was his second podium finish within a short period of time after bronze at the EC in Berlin. Rufus Barske was able to place in the top 3 for the first time.

Maya Toszegi (-67 kg) continues her great performances and records her first gold medal after third place at the World Championships in Zagreb and at the EC in Berlin. The good performance of the German team was completed by the silver medals from Christian Wilhelm (+90 kg) and Coco-Mia Baur (-70 kg) as well as third place from Henry Röder (-73 kg).
