08h52. Monster Angliru. Not all riders will wake up with a smile this morning. Today they have to tame the Angliru in stage 17. The final climb is a monster of 12.4 kilometers long, which takes the riders from 300 to almost 1,600 meters above sea level. Part 1 is a warm-up: 5 kilometers with an average gradient of 8 percent. Then it really starts to hurt. Part 2 of the Angliru rises an average of 15 percent. On the goat path there are peaks of up to 24 percent. .
