Canadian point guard Kevin Pangos will not continue at Valencia Basket

BARCELONA, 14 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Canadian point guard Kevin Pangos, 31, will not continue at Valencia Basket next season as the ‘Taronja’ club decides not to extend his contract, after an irregular campaign and with little outside weight in the team.

“Valencia Basket has decided not to execute the option to extend the contract of the Canadian point guard with a Slovenian passport Kevin Pangos, so the player is separated from our club,” Valencia Basket announced in a statement.

Pangos, from whom a greater contribution was expected, arrived at Valencia Basket at the end of December 2023, from EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, with a contract until the end of the 2023-24 season with the option of a second year.

In his time as a Taronja player, Kevin Pangos has only been able to play 25 games with numbers of 2.8 points with 26.5 percent accuracy in three-pointers and 2.5 assists, for a 2.7 rating points.

“The club wants to thank Kevin for the professionalism, dedication and work done during the time he has defended the Valencia Basket shirt, and wishes him the best in his future, both professionally and personally,” the entity added.
