The northern club lost this Saturday against Lorraine (0-1), during the 5th day.

The crisis is worsening in Lens. After five days of the championship, the northern club has still not won a match. This Saturday evening, in Bollaert, it was FC Metz who came to win with a goal from Joel Asoro in the 37th minute of play (0-1). A goal all the more cruel as the Lensois then largely dominated the debates.

The Sang et Or shot no less than 31 times on goal without ever managing to find the net. A lack of efficiency which contrasts with the terrible realism of Metz. Cornered on defense almost the entire match, FC Metz only needed two shots to bring down the vice-champion of France. At the final whistle, the first whistles towards the Lensois fell from the Bollaert stands.

This result is clearly not the best preparation for the Sang et Or who return to the Champions League next Wednesday against Sevilla for their first group match.

In the ranking, RC Lens remains penultimate, while Metz climbs to 6th place.
