The English players’ union (PFA) will try to calm the mood at Manchester United. Manager Erik ten Hag is still at loggerheads with Jadon Sancho and the PFA would like to mediate in the conflict, reports The Times. The union has already contacted the club and Sancho himself, but no real mediation has yet taken place. Sancho disabled his Instagram page on Tuesday morning.

On Monday, the Daily Mirror reported that the conflict between Sancho and Ten Hag had gotten further out of hand. The 23-year-old wing attacker had been training with the promises for a while, but was also banned from the dining room of the first team on Monday. The Haaksbergen-born coach is willing to accept Sancho in good graces, provided the Englishman apologizes.

Ten Hag did not include Sancho in the match selection for the match against Arsenal (3-1 loss). According to the former manager of Ajax and FC Utrecht, among others, Sancho had not trained properly. Sancho then reported on social media. Through his Instagram account he accused Ten Hag of spreading lies. Ten Hag wants Sancho to apologize for the statements on social media.

On Tuesday evening, United will take on Crystal Palace in the third round of the Carabao Cup at 9pm. Since Sancho has still not apologized, he is once again not in the selection. Last Saturday, the English record champion recorded a 0-1 victory over Burnley without Sancho. Thanks to that victory, United is ninth in the Premier League.
