Waroeng Steak & Shake held Waroeng Open #4 which closed with an exhibition of the men’s doubles pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan (The Daddies) versus Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, All England 2022 champions on Sunday (24/9).
Before the exhibition, Hendra/Ahsan and Bagas/Fikri held a fan meeting at Waroeng Steak & Shake on Jalan Purnawarman which also received enthusiasm from fans and badminton fans from both Bandung city and outside Bandung city.
This activity was held to celebrate Waroeng Steak & Shake’s 23rd anniversary, which included the Waroeng Open #4 badminton tournament at GOR KONI Bandung City to attract young athletes.
The tournament was held on September 21-24, attended by 117 teams in the categories of u-15 doubles (boys & girls), u-17 doubles (boys & girls), open doubles, non-athlete fun doubles from West Java, and u-90 veteran doubles. .
“This tournament is not only a place for badminton competition, but also a means to increase people’s love for sports,” said PT Waroeng Steak Indonesia Commissioner Yuga Adhyaksa when met at the event location, on Sunday.
Yuga added that the athletes who won the tournament looked happy because they were given medals directly by badminton world champions Hendra/Ahsan.
Apart from that, he also expressed many thanks to Akhmad Wiyagus as Chairman of PBSI West Java who had provided full support for the event.
The restaurant, which recently received an award from LPPOM MUI for its contribution to the halal ecosystem, looks serious and consistent in advancing Indonesian sports, especially badminton, by regularly holding the Waroeng Open every year and being the main sponsor of the men’s doubles pair Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan which has been going on for almost four years.
