Talleres Gears Up for Copa Libertadores Return: Rehearsal Matches Provides Insight for Double Front Action

Talleres advances in its preparation to reappear in the Copa Libertadores. This Tuesday morning, it started with a friendly match against Independiente Rivadavia de Mendoza in the albiazul CARD and, for now, it will be the only one in this break since Friday’s game against Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero fell.

On Wednesday, May 8 at 7 p.m., they will host Barcelona from Ecuador as leader of Group B of the Copa Libertadores, at the Kempes for the fourth date. Then, in principle, 5/11 will be the home of Independiente de Avellaneda, on the initial date of the Professional League. Then, on 5/14, it will be Cobresal’s local, at the same time.

In this Tuesday’s rehearsals, the first match was won by Independiente Rivadavia 1 to 0, while in the second, Talleres won 4 to 2.

Two 60-minute informal matches were played on court 2 of the Amadeo Nuccetelli High Performance Sports Center.

In the first match, the remnant of Talleres faced the starters of Independiente (M), who won with a goal from Mauricio Asenjo. Talleres formed with Morales; Fernández, Juan Rodríguez, Lucas Suárez and Riveros; Juan Carlos Portillo and Matías Galarza; Alejandro Martínez, Luis Sequeira and Valentín Depietri; Nahuel Bustos.

Independiente Rivadavia played with Marinelli; Abecasis, Petrasso, Bianchi, Palacios and Oschega; Maidana, Ham and Soñora; Reali and Asenjo.

In Talleres, Romero entered for Depietri, Vigo for Fernández and Barticciotto for Romero.

Without Benavidez

In the second game, the Talleres starting team won 4 to 2 and formed with Herrera; Vigo, Catalán, Mantilla, Navarro, Portillo M., Ortegoza, Ruiz Rodríguez, Botta, Sosa; Girotti. Gastón Benavídez was missing, who was somewhat fatigued.

In the second half, that initial “11″ was relieved by Martínez; Rodriguez Gonzalo, Kummer, Studer; Barrera, Culasso, Rojas; Venezia, Albarracín; Barticciotto and Romero. Independiente Rivadavia enlisted Monllor; Ruiz Díaz, Ortales, Dionisio, Maidana and More; Ascasibar, Tonnetto, Moreno; Victorio Ramis and Cavallaro. Girotti, Romero and Barticciotto -2- scored for the “T”; “Pipe” Ramis did it for the Mendoza cast twice.

The friendlies offered some references to Walter Ribonetto about the starting team that has just beaten Cobresal in Chile and the chance to appreciate players who could be part of a rotation in the local tournament, since Talleres will play often again.

The last time this planning was made, the “T” played against Sao Paulo on April 4 for the continental tournament and changed the 11 players against “the Leprosy” in the Professional League Cup, since it played two days later.
