More drug checks Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Rome in the last 48 hours. 13 people ended up in handcuffs, all under investigation for the crime crime of possession and dealing of narcotic substances.
In Passeggiata del Japan, the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Roma Eur Company stopped for a check a 34-year-old Roman, already known to the police, who was found in possession of a homemade cigarette containing marijuana, 2.2 g of ” hashish” and 5 g of marijuana inflorescences. The military therefore decided to search his home, finding approximately 2.4 kg of hashish, approximately 4.9 kg of marijuana, 15 g of dried marijuana seeds and 5 jars containing hashish cream. All the drugs were seized and the man ended up in handcuffs.
The Carabinieri of the Rome Eur station, however, arrested a 56-year-old Roman who, stopped for a check on board his car in via Fincati, was found in possession of 5 g of hashish, one joint who was smoking and 280 euros. The subsequent search of his home allowed the Carabinieri to find a greenhouse complete with cultivation equipment with a drying plant inside and various fragments of marijuana, for a total weight of 26 g, a fragment of 16 g of hashish , various marijuana seeds, various packaging materials and 775 euros.
Also stopped aboard a car in via Manuzio were two citizens of the province of Cosenza, a 20-year-old and a 23-year-old, whom the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit of Rome arrested because they were hiding 34 g of hashish, 12 g of marijuana and 480 EUR.
During the night, however, the Carabinieri of the Rome Scalo Termini Unit arrested a 23-year-old Roman who, having been noticed on board a car stopped in front of a well-known fast food in via Giovanni Giolitti, he was caught giving some doses of heroin to a young man who had approached. The 23-year-old was searched and found in possession of another 5 doses of the same drug hidden in his underwear.
A 28-year-old Peruvian also ended up in handcuffs after seeing the Carabinieri from the Rome Cinecittà station approaching for a check in Piazza dei Consoli, he attempted to flee, discarding a pouch he was wearing over his shoulder but was chased and caught. The Carabinieri recovered the pouch and found 50 doses of marijuana and 130 euros in cash. The subsequent house search allowed the military to seize a further 328 g of marijuana, 4 pieces of hashish with a total weight of 57 g, as well as an electronic scale, material for packaging the narcotic and the cash sum of 1,315 euros.
The Carabinieri of the Rome Trastevere Company’s Operations Unit arrested a 20-year-old Romanian man and a 22-year-old Moldovan man caught in a car in Via Radicofani giving some doses of cocaine to a woman who approached the passenger side window. Stopped and searched, the young people were found in possession of a total of 32 doses of cocaine and 135 euros in cash. The buyer was identified and reported to the Prefecture.
The other suspects were arrested by the Carabinieri because they were caught giving away doses of drugs near the Termini station, the Tiburtina station and in the Campi Sportivi area.
All arrests were validated.
It should be noted that the proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase, so the suspects are to be considered innocent until a final sentence is reached.
