Khris Middleton Confident Giannis Antetokounmpo Will Stay with the Milwaukee Bucks

Will Giannis Antetokounmpo stay with the Milwaukee Bucks? According to Khris Middleton, absolutely yes. The second violin of the Wisconsin team said he was sure of the Greek’s permanence, despite Antetokounmpo’s own statements in the summer which threatened his future with the Bucks. This is Middleton’s comment on the matter:

“I don’t see anything new in it and I don’t think that what happened can affect me, much less the team, because it’s nothing different from what happened in other moments when the possible extension of his contract was under discussion. Of course we want him with us. He is one of the best players in the world and in the history of the franchise, he said what he said to keep everyone’s attention high and to put pressure on everyone, him first.”

Then, about changes in the control room with the arrival of a new coach, Middleton spoke in this way, also clarifying the fate of Jrue Holiday:

“Something had to change to move us up a notch as an organization. I’m getting older, but I’m younger than Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez. As for Jrue, I hope he is willing to come back, sign a contract extension and stay with us for at least another couple of seasons. Winning the title? I think we still have a good number of years ahead of us at the top level, in which to be a contender, but only as long as Jrue also stays with us.”
