The Judo Club of Haguenau Offers a Wide Range of Martial Arts and Leisure Activities

The new dojo, with its 364 m² of carpet, has enabled the Judo club of Haguenau (JCH) to organize itself differently, to expand its time slots (depending on the number of practitioners, it is possible to open one or two practice surfaces) and to offer a wide range of activities likely to meet the expectations of a public from the age of 4, interested in martial arts, in all forms.

Judo, but not only…

From the age of 4, children can practice baby judo, discover their bodies through playful exercises. “The judo lessons follow the French progression, specifies the president Jean-Claude Bouchoucha. Practitioners are grouped by age categories to facilitate learning and perfecting techniques in a spirit of mutual aid and mutual prosperity. Competition-oriented sessions are offered to young people and adults who wish to practice a more invigorating activity. »

“However, leisure activities are not forgotten in order to allow everyone, whatever their age and physical condition, to find their sport”, adds Secretary General Hubert Nave.

The club thus offers leisure judo, which is more technical, with no competition objective, but also spin-off activities, such as jodo (the art of the stick which develops concentration and precision of movement), tai-chi/qi gong ( slow movements to work on coordination and breathing), jujitsu (self-defense techniques in a spirit of partnership), well-being/relaxation sports (cardio rhythmic activity on a background of music) or even chanbara (combats fun to let off steam with foam weapons, completely harmless: stick, sword, truncheon).
