Ligue 2: Troyes heavily sanctioned after incidents in the match against Valenciennes

The descent to National was inevitable for Estac. It has now been official since Wednesday evening, when the LFP decided to give the match against Valenciennes on May 3, peppered with jets of smoke on the lawn of the Aube stadium, lost.

Troyes therefore ends the season with 41 points, finishes 17th in Ligue 2 and will return to the National championship next season.

In addition to this defeat, the LFP announced the withdrawal of a suspended point from the club as well as the closure of two closed matches at the Aube stadium, “including one [a] déjà [été] served as part of precautionary measures” against Annecy on May 17. Same thing for the closure of the visitors area, closed for a closed match.

Four players suspended

Finally, four Estac players were suspended for three firm matches for having restarted smoke bombs in the stands of the Aube stadium. They are Kylian Dong, Rudy Kohon, Abdoulaye Ndiaye and Junior Olaitan. These players had already been dismissed by Estac, which communicated in the wake of these events.

After having moved between Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for a long time, the club returned to the National championship, in which it had not played since the 2009-2010 season. Last year, Estac played in Ligue 1 and finished in 19th place.
