The dancer resigns: Kevin-Prince Boateng’s career end – Sport

Kevin-Prince Boateng is retiring after 18 years of professional football. He leaves countless episodes off the field – and despite many successes, the feeling that he has not fully squeezed his talent.

A few months ago, Kevin-Prince Boateng, 36, was polled by readers of English football magazine FourFourTwo and the result unearthed some interesting insights into the footballer’s life and work. For example, that he never felt more understood as a footballer than in two places on the periphery of the football map, in Las Palmas in Spain (2016/17) and in Sassuolo in Italy (2018/19). Which doesn’t mean that he hasn’t developed or received affection elsewhere – perhaps nowhere as much as at Hertha BSC, where he started his career as a professional footballer 18 years ago and is now ending it. “I love you. But that’s it. Thank you football for everything,” Boateng wrote on a social network.
