FC Utrecht is struggling with an overcrowded selection and this seems to be a problem for the team from Domstad, Sean Klaiber also sees this problem and spoke about it in conversation with Algemeen Dagblad.

At the moment, according to the official website, the first team consists of 28 players. These include Othmane Boussaid and Tommy St. Jago, who will most likely leave this week. The emerging talents such as Ivar Jenner who are close to the first team and the no longer needed Ruben Kluivert are not included. In other words, even if three more players leave, the selection will remain very busy. It could be that this overcrowded dressing room actually contributes to the unrest.

“As a footballer you have only one desire: to play. If you don’t play, you are dissatisfied. That’s just how it works,” agrees Klaiber. “So yes, a large selection can cause unrest,” he admits.

“But personally I don’t focus on the size of the squad. If I’m the Klaiber we saw in the last eight games of last season, I assume I’m in the team. And will I shine? “I have to shine from myself. My focus is exclusively on FC Utrecht, I feel good here and that also applies to my family. My goal is to reach European football with this club. I am willing to put everything aside for that.”
