F1, Frederic Vasseur announces: “Ferrari will be eight tenths faster in 2024”

From words to deeds? We’ll find out. The Ferrari he’s certainly not setting himself apart for a big season in the F1 World Championship. The difficulties that pilots Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz they are facing are many, having to manage a car like the SF-23 with unpredictable behavior, but with well-known critical issues: tire management on race Sunday in the first place.

A problem that encompasses many things: from an understeering or oversteering car, to the balance that should be there from the data and does not appear from the track. In essence, a complex situation. The Team Principal, Frederic Vasseuris trying to put some order, drastically renewing the roster of technicians in key roles in the Racing Department.

We are therefore already working on the 2024 project with the hope of creating a car capable of fighting for the title and not of playing the role of supporting character. In an interview granted to Autosprint, Vasseur spoke clearly: “We have a development plan which tells us that our car will be two tenths faster in September, another two in October, another four in 2024. We have our work plan and we cannot waste time synchronizing with that of the others, which between the other we do not know“.

Will it really be like this? We’ll know in the next few months, but it’s certainly not the first time that these announcements have arrived from Maranello, which then didn’t translate into comforting feedback. Hopefully for a turnaround.
