The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg are pushing ahead with their personnel planning for the coming season. On Friday, the Swabian Bundesliga basketball team announced the signing of American Deion Hammond. The 24-year-old joins from Dutch champions ZZ Leiden on a two-year contract. “He’s a very good thrower, a good scorer. He’s a good size – I’m hoping for big things from him,” Ludwigsburg head coach Josh King said of the 1.93 meter man. The point guard is the club’s third signing this summer.
Justin Johnson, meanwhile, will leave the giants. The power forward played a total of 41 games for the club from the baroque city. It is not yet known where he will move to.
