Marcel-lès-Valence – Busy end to the season for the badminton club

No less than two major competitions await the badminton players of Saint-Marcel at the end of the season. First is the traditional Youth Trophy which took place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June at the sports hall from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This competition was aimed at players in singles, doubles and mixed and many clubs from Drôme and Ardèche participate. The president, Sylvain Glemba and his volunteers scheduled the awarding of medals to the winning badminton players in the presence of representatives of the bi-departmental badminton committee.

The second and last important meeting of badminton players at the sports hall will take place on Sunday July 2 on the occasion of the 6^e local club summer tournament. Organized to make this racket sport known to as many people as possible, this tournament is open to all licensed and non-licensed players. Three categories will be offered: chips for children and their parents, mosquitoes for players classified as unclassified and hornets for competitors and pretentious. Braver adult players will also be able to compete in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles.
