Dimitris Itoudis: “It’s time for the second game”

Dimitris Itoudis made evaluations after Anadolu Efes match.

BSL Fenerbahce Beko, who defeated Anadolu Efes with a historical margin of 42 points in the first match of the semi-finals series, took the lead 1-0. Coach Dimitris Itoudis was at the microphone after the match. Itoudis made his assessments of the struggle as follows:

“First of all, congratulations to the team. The series was 1-0. There was a serious difference. Anadolu Efes is a team with very good coaches, very talented players and a lot of weapons if you are not concentrated. A second win is also required. Despite the difference, we are 1-0, this is very important for us. Now we are focused on the second game. We will work very concentrated, focused and disciplined and determined to go to the second game.”

“Ephesus started the game very aggressively. They started with very good sets and system. They have good players. It was 12-17, then it was 21-2. But everyone should know that, of course, it cannot continue like this. It’s definitely not easy. We were good, we were on the field, we showed our presence and we deserved the win. Now it’s time for the second game.”

Dimitris Itoudis once again underlined the importance of the fans, as he did before the series, and offered his thanks:

“As for the fans, I would like to thank them for their support. It was very nice but I hope it will be even more crowded on Monday evening. On behalf of the players, they really need this support and trust.”
