ButOlympic Arch Technicians Guendalina Sartori and Emanuele AlberiniCompound Technicians Stefano Mazzi e Francesco Gogioso at the end of the sporting competition, takes home 10 medals, 3 gold and two silver and 5 bronze which places her in third place in the medal table.
The Catanzaro club, the Arcieri Club lido, was present with two athletes called up who wore the shirt of the national youth team, the brothers Poerio Pierà Francesco in the junior class Olympic division and
Anastasia, making his debut in an international event and wearing the national team jersey in the student class compound division.
In the Junior Olympics the race of Francesco Poerio Pierà he stops in the round of 16, winning 6-5 (8-7) against the Polish Kaluza and 7-3 against the German Kropp but defeated by Krejci (CZE) 2-6 which sees him finish in 9th place in the ranking.
It goes much better in the compound division of the student class, where the trio Poerio Pierà Anastasia, Caterina Gallo and Caterina Moroldo they win the gold medal in the finalbeating Great Britain (Coulam, Scott, Walker) with a score of 213-212.
The Catanzaro team is proud of the results of their boys. The coach Poerio Pierà Edoardo who follows the athletes says he is satisfied with the work done by his athletes “Francesco and Anastasia trained with
commitment and determination, always trying to give my best and do everything possible for the team, I want thank the national team coaches who followed all the boys, for their constant presence also at the outside of important events, always ready to give valuable advice and always make themselves available”.
Now, we are preparing for the next calendar commitments such as the qualifications for the Italian Campagna and Targa scheduled for the end of August and the beginning of September.
