Asian Tour Han keeps his hand in South Korea

Saturday was the third round of the Kolon Korea Open, in Cheonan, South Korea. On a course that is still just as demanding, Seungsu Han is clinging to first place.

The leader stumbled, but the leader remains in control in South Korea (-6 total). In the lead since Thursday, Seungsu Han had a complicated third round, concluded in 72 moves. After a solid first leg (1 birdie), the American was less to his advantage on the return, conceding a bogey and a double bogey (for another birdie). The 36-year-old is only one step ahead of Jaekyeong Lee (-5).

The latter can boast of being the only golfer to have beaten the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club course three times since the start of the tournament. The South Korean returned a card of 70 on Saturday thanks to 4 birdies and despite 3 bogeys. As a reminder, the winner and his runner-up will win their ticket for the British Open on Sunday, which will take place in July, in Liverpool.

The third step of the podium (-2 total) is occupied by a duo formed by Ian Snyman and Junseok Lee. The Australian scored 68 (5 birdies, 2 bogeys) and is back in the standings. More broadly, the situation in the standings testifies to the difficulty of the course. Indeed, Junggon Hwang and Junghwan Lee, 5th at -1 total, are the last two players to be under par after three rounds played.
