Ferro had obtained a first match point on his opponent’s service, at 5-3 in the third set, at the cost of a long exchange, but had cracked in stride. She finally converted her second chance, this time serving.

This victory tasted like a “renaissance“, for her. “It’s great fun, I’ve been through a lot of emotions in recent months, not necessarily positive.she blew in the mixed zone. If someone had told me that I would qualify for the main draw at Roland today, I would have signed up right away..”

There are many people I know. There is my family, my coaches, former or current, my friends. There is no better place to share emotions, that’s why we love this place“, she rejoiced. With Lucas Pouille, who won his place in the final table on Thursday, Fiona Ferro is the only tricolor to come out of qualifying.
