Coach Reinders describes how Karlos Vémola is doing with his weight

The last time Karlos Vémola fought in the middleweight category, he unfortunately missed the weight limit for the title fight, so even though he subsequently defeated Ďatelinka in the first round, he was not the champion. He now returns to middleweight having fought Matavao a month ago. He didn’t have to lose that much weight back then, but he still exposed his body to a certain amount of stress. Will shooting be that much harder now?

Kincl refused to complete the trilogy with Vémola! But now he has hinted at a possible interesting path

“One thing is that doing 84 twice in a row is difficult for any fighter. It will leave a lot of marks on the body and there could be a problem in the second shot. With Matavao, this weight was chosen because he had a history of weight issues himself, and 84 wouldn’t do. Now, he wouldn’t even make the limit to light heavyweight, in which the match wouldn’t be possible anyway, because Karlos is still the champion there. It wouldn’t make sense. Originally, 89 was agreed upon, which Karlos would normally do just fine, but in the end it was moved even higher due to the opponent’s lack of weight. Paradoxically, the body only slightly reached the shedding mode and did not get under a lot of stress. Even thanks to this, the downing that awaits Karlos should not be affected. Today he still has his last training sessions, from tomorrow he has to make weights, answered André Reinders for Sport.cz.

“We write about weight, and it was the same today. We are working out other details, communication is still ongoing. Of course, Karlos has other people around him who help him with the weight. But he himself knows best how to work with the body. He’s a total pro at this. Except for one case, he always made the weight. I’m not afraid he should have any problem.’

We will find out how the fight with the weight goes on Friday between 9 and 10 a.m., when the official weigh-in will take place.

The Terminator himself explained how he is doing in terms of health and weight

“I can’t lie and say I feel great because I’ve been almost without food for about ten days now and I’m slowly cutting back on water to get there on Thursday. However, this is all part of it. Hard on the training ground and light on the battlefield. The hungrier I am now, the more I want to eat it at the O2 Arena.

Just today I met a gentleman from Motolo here who told me that he had the hospital reports from December and that it was unbelievable how far I had come. This only confirms the words of Mr. Kolar. I didn’t have to be here as a wrestler at all. The shape I’m in now is unbelievable. I have to knock it, how everything fit. No health complications. The form is great.

My weight? It’s great how it fits. It’s the way it should be. If I tell someone how much I still lack, then there is a risk, but I know that if I am like this at this stage, then I will give the weight. How much do I have left? It probably doesn’t matter, but I say that if I wake up on Thursday morning and boodu have over 10 from the limit, then I will worry. If I’m under 10 from the limit, I won’t worry.

I’m hoping that on Thursday morning, it looks like it so far, I’ll be 10 from the limit, so I won’t worry, but it won’t be easy. It will be exactly to the gram, as it should be. On Thursday I should have a maximum of 93.9 Kg. So far I’m at the stage where I’m 94.1 Kg, so I’m 200 grams short,” said Karlos Vémola in an interview with promoter Ondřej Novotný.

It is the weight that has been discussed a lot, because before the last fight in the middle weight, Vémola was overweight and thus lost the title. Although he subsequently defeated Datelinka, he did not win the title. This can only happen now in a fight with rival Patrik Kincle, who, on the other hand, is looking forward to the second defense.
