Kapfenberg wins in the relegation battle at Admira

Kapfenberg SV is making up ground in the relegation battle of the 2nd division. The Styrians won the supplementary game to the 23rd round at Admira 2-0 (0-0) on Tuesday evening and moved up to 14th place with 23 points. Two points are still missing on a non-relegation zone.

The Südstädter, on the other hand, are slipping further and further and, in eleventh place, are only three points ahead of KSV.

Grosse increased to 0:2 (90+6)

18-year-old central defender David Heindl put the visitors ahead with a header after a cross from Winfred Amoah in the 52nd minute. In added time (96′), Mark Grosse made the decision with a great lob from almost 50 meters. For the Styrians it was the third win in the last four league games, in which they collected a total of ten points and thus gave up the red lantern.

Heindl scores to make it 0-1 (52nd minute)

Bundesliga relegated Admira has been without a win for four rounds (two draws, two defeats). The game should have taken place on Friday, but had to be postponed due to heavy rain.

Steyr – Amstetten postponed again

This also applied to the duel between Vertriebs Steyr and SKU Amstetten, but the game could not take place on Tuesday either because the pitch was unplayable. The game is now scheduled to be played next Tuesday (April 25) at 6:30 p.m.
