Saint-Agathon: a fine 3rd place at the French Indoor Archery Championship – Saint-Agathon

A small delegation of three Arc-en-ciel archers traveled to Grenoble this weekend to take part in the French indoor championship at 18m.

Bénédicte Wallart took part in this competition for the second time: “Just like my friends, after the qualifications, I faced several opponents in duels. I lost one but won the other two, including the one that allowed me to obtain this magnificent Bronze medal”.

Catherine Penhouët, who competed in Barbow (bare bow), for which it was also the second participation, confides: “I was more relaxed and I therefore also defended myself better. After the qualifications came the duels. Led 1 to 4, I go back to 3 to 5 then I win the next end which puts me tied, 5 to 5. There, no choice, it’s the shoot-off arrow. A single arrow, in the middle spot, the winner, will be the one closest to the center. I shoot my arrow, I shoot a 7, my competitor in turn releases her arrow and shoots a 9, thus winning the duel. I lost but also progressed nationally by finishing 5th. I am very proud of this result”.
