According to the CIES Football Observatory, Flamengo’s squad is worth around R$1.5 billion; City is the 1st most valuable team in the world
Reinforcing itself in recent years with the aim of winning titles and making the team become a power in the Americas, Flamengo arrives in 2023 with the most valuable squad in the world outside the European continent.
In a survey carried out by the Football Observatory of the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES Football Observatory), the squad of the club from Rio de Janeiro is valued at around 264 million euros (approximately R$ 1.5 billion).
It is worth mentioning that the CIES Football Observatory statistic also counts loaned players and athletes that the club still has a percentage of future sales.
However, the value of the red-black squad is far from equaling that of Manchester City, which, worth 1.5 billion euros (about R$ 8 billion), is the most valuable on the planet.
