I love you dude! Adam Sandler praised Pastrnak’s All-star performance

The weekend All-Star Game is already a thing of the past. During the skill competitions, some hockey players impressed with their skills. Connor McDavid with incredible accuracy when shooting at targets, Elias Petterson with a hard blow and such David Pastrňák entertained the audience during the breakaway challenge, where he imitated the famous actor Adam Sandler. He reacted positively to his performance.

The 1996 film Rivals tells the story of Happy Gilmore, a teenage boy who dreams of a career as a famous hockey player. However, he gradually discovers that his wild style of shooting at the goal is useless in hockey, but he could impress in golf.

And it was this story that David Pastrňák chose as inspiration for the breakaway challenge competition, where hockey players try to impress the jury with their independent attack.

There are no rules here, it’s all about the show. And Pasta really entertained a large number of viewers on TV screens. Goalkeeper Linus Ullmark accompanied him during the challenge as a caddy, i.e. stick carrier.

It didn’t take long and actor Adam Sandler himself reacted to David Pastrňák’s performance. “I love you dude! This put a smile on my face” the 2003 Golden Globe winner tipped off his imaginary hat.

The native of Havířov earned thirty-eight points out of forty for his performance from the jury and finished in second place. Maybe he would have won, if not for the performance of Ovechkin, who played on feelings and took his son Sergei to the performance.

By the way, part of the public got the NHL pilloried for that. As Putin’s closest friend, Ovechkin looked like a loving and innocent father. At the same time, he supports a man who caused the death of tens of thousands of innocent people. But that’s another story.
