Show: “Igor Stravinsky, the soldier’s story”
Exiled to Switzerland, Stravinsky met the poet-novelist Ramuz in 1915. The shortages of the war pushed these artists towards a simplicity of means: small instrumental workforce and a text that was more narrative than theatrical.
This work illustrates a soldier encountering the devil who offers to exchange his violin for a book revealing the future of scholarships. If he becomes rich, happiness does not appear to him for all that…
