From last Friday the 13th to Sunday the 22nd of January, Rueda celebrates the Fiestas in honor of San Sebastián with a program of cultural and leisure activities.

Already last Friday, the Inauguration of the extension of the Paseo de la Mujer took place and in the afternoon, a FIFA Tournament by ages. On Sunday 15, the Musical Group “Yarus Grex” presented at the Casa de la Cultura, its album “Says Our Bride”, a compilation of Sephardic songs. In addition, on Tuesday, the Badminton Tournament was held. This has been the prologue to some festivities that are very dear to the residents and that may bring more visitors as they coincide with the weekend.

This Thursday, the Tucán Brass Orchestra will arrive to invite you to dance at the Casa de la Cultura starting at 10:00 p.m. On Friday, January 20, the feast day of San Sebastián, the reception of authorities will take place at the City hall, prior to the celebration in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of the Holy Mass in honor of the Patron, at 12:30 p.m. and sung by the Coral Villa de Rueda. At the end, Rueda Wine will be served in the Casa de la Cultura to the sound of the music of the Dulzaineros ”Del Olivar a la Parra”.

Once again, the Casa de la Cultura will be the setting for the Discomovida of the night, starting at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday 21 it will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the celebration of the VI BTT Villa de Rueda. The House of Culture will host at 18:00 h. theatrical show “Grandpa”. This year, the already traditional Potato Tortilla Contest is recovered, reaches its ninth edition and will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall. After the evaluation of the jury, attendees will be able to taste the elaborations accompanied by a Rueda wine. On Sunday, January 22, and closing the program of the San Sebastián Fiestas, the little ones will enjoy the Children’s Park, located in the Municipal Sports Center from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and with free entry.
