Havana, Jan 22 (RHC) The president of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF), Mohammed Jalood, will arrive in Cuba today on an official working visit.

According to the report by Jit, a media outlet affiliated with the Caribbean nation’s National Sports Institute, the leader will be “accompanied by Antonio Urso, IWF secretary general and treasurer, and José Carlos Quiñones, president of the Pan American Lifting Federation of Weights».

The work agenda includes dialogues with the main authorities of Cuban sports. Among the places to visit are the Havana Anti-Doping Laboratory, the Manuel Suárez gym of the Cerro Pelado high-performance athlete training school and the Che Guevara Center, the note expands.

Jalood was elected president of the world weightlifting governing body last June, and was recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
